One of the biggest problems in our world is waste. Waste is everywhere! More than 8 billion tons of waste in the world, 6 billion of it is plastic, less than 10% of plastic waste is recycled, and the rest is just piled up and lost to the environment. But plastic is quite very useful for our everyday living from packaging, electronics, medical equipment, etc. But somehow the world just keeps going, we produce and then produce again even though we don't know what to do with them and most of them were just dumped that causing climate change, global warming, pollution of air, water, and soil that directly affects the ecosystem and species, and various types of health problems cause by these tons of waste. We are not the only ones who are affected by this, even animals, from marine to land, because of the pollution and contamination of their habitat, animals often leave and find another habitat, and sometimes it led the species to become critically endangered.
Our Ecosystem symbolizes life, all the living things rely on it because it provides things like nutritious food, clean, water, and a habitat for wild plants and animals. So that the ecosystem is precious and a real treasure we must protect. Now that the waste keeps getting bigger that causes the suffering of nations and people here are some simple things we can do to solve problems in proper waste management:
1. Practicing the 3Rs in our homes.
2. Segregating garbage into biodegradable and
non-biodegradable.
3. Be responsible by following the rules, and laws on properly disposing of garages.
4. Giving a fair punishment to whoever tries to dispose of
their garbage in rivers, public places, and other places that might cause diseases
and pollution.
5. Joining some local clean-up drives in town.
6. Keeping some useful items such as glass bottles that can be
sold and reused.
7. Reducing the use of objects that are difficult to decompose.
8. Just give to others the things that are still useful instead of
just throwing them.
9. Use an eco bag that can still reuse instead of plastic.
10. Make a compost pit to improve the quality of the soil.
If everyone in the community participates in such a work the problems in waste could be resolved and the environment is much better and cleaner. Let's simply start in our homes. We should act now before it's too late.
