As COVID-19 continues to disrupt the global economy and society, it becomes more evident that the pandemic is affecting women and men differently and that gender-balanced responses are necessary. They have come together in creating strategies for responding to the challenges arising from the pandemic. In more ways than one, the COVID-19 pandemic stands in the way of Women's Economic Empowerment.
From the start, women from different fields have shown their dedication to serving the country and its people. They sacrificed a lot like staying away from home just to serve others and keeping their family safe from the virus. We've seen teachers going to school to prepare modules for the learners, BFP women in the frontline to implement the protocols, nurses, doctors, and full-time moms who dedicated their time to their families. We can truly say that they are a big help to the government in responding to the pandemic.
Therefore, we must give credit to all women out there who did their best for everybody. They've shown us that they can make this world a better place and we can rely on them too. Women have the right to participate equally in education, society, the economy, and politics.
